| Parkside Orchid Nursery hosted the 12th Annual
Summer OrchidFEST on Saturday July 31, 2004 and Sunday August 1, 2004.
With more than 20 vendors from as far away as the Hawaiian Islands, the
success of the fest was made even more dramatic than in past years with
the introduction of American Orchid Society judging as a public
event. From 3:00pm until just about 5:30 on Saturday, AOS judges
from the Northeast Judging Center in Elmsford, New York and the National
Capitol Judging Center in Washington DC joined the judges and students of
the Mid-Atlantic Judging Center of Philadelphia for the event. More than
30 plants were presented by professional and amateur growers alike, with
13 plants receiving AOS awards. |

under the guidance of the accredited judges as part of their education. |
